Glengoyne has the peculiarity of being divided between Highlands and Lowlands: the distillery and the warehouse, in fact, are separated by A81, the route that marks the border of the two regions. No identity crisis though: this 12 years old whisky is excellent, from one of the slowest distillations in Scotland.

N: nice and aromatic, shortcrust, raisins, licorice, tinned peaches, brown sugar.
P: coating, honey, shortbread, raisins, stewed fruit, warm cereals.
F: medium length, honey biscuits and spices.

Pleasant if tried with fried fish.
