Glenkinchie is the southernmost distillery in Diageo's portfolio: founded in 1837, it made Lowlands' history. This Double Matured spent a decade in refill barrels and then it was moved into Amontillado Sherry casks for a further maturation. It's a 2008 vintage, bottled in 2020.

N: aromatic, intense and seductive, dates, nuts, crema catalana, raisins and honey biscuits.
P: delicate but coating, hazelnuts and almonds, apple strudel and honeycomb.
F: lingering, with dark cocoa and spices.

Perfect with a stewed deer.
