Sanaig is the name of a rocky cost close to Kilchoman, Islay's farm distillery: this version is matured mostly in ex-Oloroso sherry casks, so that the fruity sweetness from the casks find a perfect balance with the heavily peated profile of the spirit.

N: intense, warming, stewed fruit, tarte tatin, dried plums, smoke and a growing saltiness.
P: pleasant and coating, medicinal, caramel, red fruits, bacon, burning embers and sea salt.
F: long and medicinal, intense peat, bacon, cherries.

It makes a great match with a dark chocolate crumble.
