The first-fill sweet wine finish works in favour of this buxom Blair Athol.

The distillate is medium bodied, sweet and fruity. Matured in a refill Hogshead for most of its life before it was finished in a 1st fill sauternes wine barrique for honeyed notes and apricot. The tasting revealed, glazed honey, candied red apple.
