Cadenhead's new ENIGMA series is home to unusual, hard-to-define, even contradictory bottlings. They can be Single Casks, vatting of different barrels, blends, blends and malts, anything that is not immediately classifiable... As long as it's good! The first bottling is a 25-year-old Blended Scotch Whisky, aged entirely in an ex-Refill Sherry casks, and bottled cask strength at 41.4%. Soft, pleasant, with the elegance of age.

Aroma: Freshly mown grass, digestive biscuits and lots of tropical fruit.

Palate: Stringy sugar, white chocolate, vanilla and crème brulee.

Finish: Oily, pine notes, baked sweets and hop notes.
