  • 8 Years Old

€120.00

In the late XIX century, Alfred Barnard was the very first reporter to go and visit every active scottish distillery: when he was in Lagavulin, he tasted an 8 years old whisky, finding it was exceptional. Because of this Lagavulin released this 8 yo whisky to celebrate its bicentenary in 2016: already a classic.

N: fresch, vibrant, peat, smoke, sea breeze, candied fruit, a gentle vanilla note and white grapes.
P: overwhelming, balanced, with intense peat smoke, ash, leather, sea water and a buttery sweetness.
F: very long, again on maritime peat and liquid sugar.

Excellent with oysters and shrimps.
